home sweetie home..from Genting Highlands

Back home after being away at Genting Highlands for 3 days. This is gonna be abit lengthy post so pls bear with me. I want to write down things that happened as this trip really serves a very good memory for me. I'm sure those went with me feel the same way. Went with my bro, mum & her best friend's family whom we've known for nearly 20 years. Played together during holidays while young at our mum's workplace then, the old cuppage.

FRIDAY..
We gathered at 7am at Golden Mile Centre where we boarded the Grassland bus. The trip up was not as bad as I expected cox the chairs were comfy and individual tvs were provided. Can choose movies, songs and games, thou I only watched movies throughout. Reached our destination ard 2+pm, checked in and went for our first meal immediately cox I was ranting throughout the bus ride that I'm hungry. Had a light dim sum lunch at the food court there. Damn expensive!! and not nice also the food. Should have taken photos to remind myself nv to eat there again!

After the lunch, we explored around the indoor theme park. Didn't played any games. Was amazed at the changes there since the last time I went ard 10 years ago. Many more shops had popped up and more games as well. Did some shopping. Went for our buffet dinner ard 7+pm after a rest in our rooms which were linked. Had dinner at Cafe Terrace. Costs only ard 54 ringgits per pax which I think is quite ok for an international buffet.

After dinner, of cox the activity was to the casino! Honestly, it was my first trip to a casino. Didn't really like the place cox it's damn smoky!! My contact lens were so dry that my eyes hurt. Lingered for quite some time before we settled at this table 鸟笼 aka bird-cage. It's so-named cox 3 dices were placed in this bird-cage lookalike and rolled. You bet on the number that will appear after the cage stops turning round and the dices settled down. Quite fun & brainless. Just go by instinct.

Played till 2+ 3pm. Went for a drink at coffee bean just downstairs of our hotel. Oh we stayed at Hotel Resort. Went back to our room and the 4 of us continued with daidi. haha really influenced by the gambling environment there.

SATURDAY...
Woke up rather late. Had lunch at a Hainanese Chicken Rice shop. The food was not bad. Shopped around again, bought local snacks. Originally wanted go outdoor theme park but was vetoed when it started raining. Spoiler. Was a bit disappointed that we didn't get a chance to go there. But we had a go at archery, 25 arrows each pax. Wasn't easy at all! You need a lot of arm strength to pull that stupid bow back and a stable wrist to let go of the arrow at the aimed direction. Haha KC and I were probably the worst archers among all of us. His arrows came to my board and my arrows rebounded off the wall. So 丢脸!!!

After the archery session, the 4 of us went shopping for the guys' souvenirs for their gfs. Came to this Lacy House (Can't rem what it's called so I just anyhow gave it a name :P ). Really respected KC and my bro when they started buying this cute bear thingy that you can put ur rings on for the solemnization ceremony where you are announced husband and wife and to exchange rings. The reason why I take my hats off them is cox usually gals are the ones who will buy this kinda thing and gals are probably the ones who will think of buying it! Right, and KC will tell me cox they are SNAGs. K I shan't argue about that.

After washing up, went for dinner at Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant. Fully sponsored by the 4 of us as a treat for our parents. It's really cheap considering what we ate. The bill came to $1154.45 ringgits. After dinner, we headed to the casinos again. But was damn crowded on a saturday night. If friday was smoky, saturday's was a killer. There wasn't a single breathe of fresh air. Couldn't find an empty enough table to sit down and play, so ended up with Jackpot. Was a boring game. Just continously press the button to roll the screen, Super dumb thou it killed time. Did not stay long. Went back to our rooms ard 3+am and slept.

SUNDAY...
Originally wanted to have dim sum breakfast but none of us were in the appetite for it after the sumptious and sinful meal last night. So ended up we slept till 9+ am and just had a simple breakfast at The Bakery. Caught the coach back at 11am.
