HongKong - 17th to 23rd June 2010

Day 1: Singapore - HongKong

Took SQ866 - 1.30PM flight to HK..checked in at 11am cox we wanted to have a nice, slow bf (to kick-start a relaxing holi) then roamed ard DFS..much to disappointment realised the skin care pdts sold r only $1 cheaper than CK Tangs counter..what the...

2nd disappointment came when both of us couldn't get our selection of food onflight...wanted the chicken but left only fish..so we made do w it loh..

haha~ the pink's mine while the white's his..our individual fav colours..reflected in our luggages..

Flight took 3.5hrs..finally reached HK at 5.30pm and proceeded straight to our hotel, Butterfly On Prat @ Tsim Sha Tsui via MTR (to Kowloon) and cab to hotel...took us only half an hr to rch..fast bah..along the taxi ride DG alrdy can't wait to get started on his shopping..

our hotel room - much bigger than e one I stayed in on my last company trip..clean and comfy..good~

part of the bathroom wall is a glass panel..peek-a-boo! haha...good for couples, no good for friends..

their pillow damn soft..DG dun like..cox head immed sink into the pillows..machiam no support..for me, I dun care haha cox every night by the time I sleep I'm alrdy dead tired..tortured by DG!

Right after checking in and putting our luggages, Antonia met us for dinner...shun bian "scrutinized" the schedule tt I planned..ate @ 翠华, which is like just a street down from our hotel..

Food was damn good..one of the meals tt left DG w a deep impression..so much so tt over the next few days, we had our bf there most of the time..

香脆牛油猪仔包 - I'm impressed w myself tt I can still rem the name!! muahah..cox this is too nice to be forgotten~ really super duper nice!

紫菜鱼皮饺汤 - this is the main reason y DG likes this restaurant so much tt we keep coming back!

Took a walk ard TST area..Antonia showed us the way so tt we can roam ard ourselves the next few days..

DAY 2: HongKong - Central, The Peak, Mongkok

As planned..first stop (excl breakfast) is H&M @ Central..the biggest branch in HK..to be followed w shopping and The Peak..

We were early and so we shopped in the area first..this is the day where our wallets got burned!! haha..read on..

realised HK gals can really eat alot, while still staying slim! My god..I see so many girls in the cafeteria, eating their set meals and finishing it all by themselves! hmm..maybe I shldn't use my capacity as the benchmark..hah~ and yes 1 set meal consists of a noodles soup w pork chop and a set of bread w eggs! my bf cum lunch...

took tram up ard 3+4pm..

too early for sunset, so we took a coffee break at Pacific Coffee, w a window seat where we immersed in a sea of scenary..

started posing for photos..ta-dah! the reason y both our wallets r burned..DG bought me the Coach (limited edition - only in HK, Japan) while I bought myself the Prada~ full leather..both my bd gifts..

Skipped sunset @ The Peak, opted to go back to hotel first instead..cox the bags were really too heavy and DG's been carrying them throughout..

started posing w my bags again..haha~ same kinda tote bag, just different colour, material, brand and price!

Met up w Antonia and her bf, Johnny for dinner..DG wanted to try their local delicacies and so they took us to their local 煮炒..another meal tt left DG w a deep impression..

椒盐濑尿虾 - takes certain skills to unpeel the shells and still gets to eat the little bit of meat in there..we both had fun peeling..of cox I'm the better one at it *smirk*

避风塘炒蟹，腐乳空心菜，椒盐calamari，锅仔饭

DG drank the sweetest 凉茶 but still complained it's bitter..tsk tsk tsk

my sweetest DG took me to this restaurant to buy me my bd cake..for the countdown to my bd.. *smilez*

Day 3: HongKong - Mongkok, Night Market

Insisted on having bf at a local cafe @ Yau Ma Tei..the one I enjoyed most on the last trip to HK...so we met Antonia at Langham Place..

curry 鱼蛋，鱼肉烧卖 (antonia told me most of the locals preferred this shiu mai to the ones w prawns)

my ultimate fav~ 花生酱猪肠粉

Shopped ard Mongkok, 女人街, 波鞋街, 花园街, 金鱼街, 车街 (more for the guys, for their obsession w their cars)..shopped till we drop..hah~ even had to head back to hotel to put down our stuff before we could make our way to Causeway Bay for dinner..

Took ferry to Central and transferred to MTR..so that DG can get a feel of their 渡轮..

pretty "shagged" w the whole day of walking ard..

Had dinner @ SML..one of the pretty famous, well-received restaurant.. where u can choose the portion of the food served..in Small, Medium and Large..as the name suggests..Antonia made reservations so tt we could get seats..

their salad is very good..

Antonia was so sweet that she specially ordered a cake for me to blow...*weeps* so touched..came as a total surprise..

love the brownie w ice-cream!!!

the mall was doing publicity for Toy Story 3..the whole place was filled w this creature!!

Day 4: HongKong - Aimless shopping @ Central - Chapel, Games @ Mongkok

Originally planned to go Lantau Island for 大佛 and 大澳..where the scenary is supposed to be breathtaking..but weather too hot and so we changed our schedule and went shopping instead..ended up w the biggest damage so far..

Found this shop at Central - Chapel..sells very cheap yet quality clothes..designer clothes..good quality, good cutting, good designs..DG was so surprised w the price tt he actually walked over to me w a top and asked me "is this in HKD or SGD??" I was like.."wat kinda qn is this..of cox this is in HKD!"...imagine..the clothes r so cheap tt DG cant believe his eyes! Ranging from HKD80-100!! = (est)$15 each piece!

And so..we nearly bought the whole shop..haha no lah...just mayb a piece of each pattern..muahaa. Had dinner at a local cafe again..this time round we had 碗仔面 - u choose the noodles u wan, w 5 toppings of ur choice as well..our choice = normal noodles w 墨鱼丸，猪红(pig's blood)，鱼腐，猪肠，鱼饺. Very different foodfare..something tt I wouldnt choose to eat if I had gone HK myself..haha~ but taste rather nice, really!

Didn't know wat to do, so after putting down our stuff at hotel, we went to a games cafe @ Mongkok. Played Monopoly Deal till 11+pm (Antonia n Johnny had to head home cox working the next day), walked the night market on our own..

had supper b4 gg back hotel..wanton noodles..

Day 5: HongKong - Ocean Park

Didn't know where to go..so impromptu went Ocean Park..

dg was eager to try their bungee..but disappointed to learn he can only jump..no stunts!

yap..we tried the roller coaster...not exciting de..

caught the dolphins performance..nice!

Day 6: HongKong - Singapore

Flight's at 6.30pm..so we did some last minute shopping..actually this was a rather relaxing trip, compared to TW..so we didn't really had much last-minute-shopping..just maybe some souvenirs to be bought at airport..was down to my last penny even before reaching airport..so we had to go by credit card :P

our last meal - lunch @ HK...tried their roasted poultry...mayb is the restaurant bah..not so nice...too oily..too bad didn't had a chance to try Yung Kee..next time I will..

reluctant to leave HK?? haha...

Reached SG ard 10+pm..headed straight home..home-sick...haha no lah..just tired and wanted to get home asap..flight home was as terrible as the one going..once again, we din manage to get our food selection, but worse thing is choice of chicken or beef and the former ran out! both of us dun take beef, so we had a choice of duck or vegetarian..opted for duck naturally..dg got his choice while once again, mine was out of stock! vegetarian or cup noodles? vegetarian i chose..wrong choice..food suckz..

DG came back and lodged a complaint..were so fed-up w SQ..somemore din handle our luggage w care when we alrdy specified "FRAGILE"~~ apparently the people handling it doesnt understand english...ended up, SQ gave us $150 voucher to be used on inflight items as compensation..i was like telling DG to ask them whether they think we r gg to take SQ again w such a bad experience..and since we r not, wat's the pt in giving us inflight vouchers..haiz..

anyway, yah..no more SQ..no wonder everyone questioned me on my choice of flight when i happily declared im taking SQ...HAIZ~ now i know..think SQ better buck up before they lose all their customers manz..
