cyk asked me to try Prosperous Kitchen out with her and so after work, we went over to the branch at Sembawang SC. Buffet Dinner at $16.90++ per pax, only for weekdays dinner.
Cox only 2 of us, so we could only try out a few dishes. (Both of us r on perpetual diet *lol*) Here goes..
Claypot Brinjal - only cyk tried this (i dun eat brinjals!), apparently it shld be quite nice since after taking the 1st bite, she commented tt this is very fresh and nicely-done..
Deep-fried thai fish - came in miniature size but the crispiness was not compromised. d waitress even cut it up for us, just like at dinner banquets
sambal kangkong - given tt we were pretty impressed w their sambal chilli (smells good and really spicy!), this dish does not came out as fragrant and spicy as expected.
mushroom w brocoli - normal
fried prawns w cereals - crispy on the outside but when bite on it, does not really taste crunchy or fresh. my guess is tt most prob frozen prawns.
三杯鸡 - the chicken were sliced really thin and came as tender and juicy. Good!
hor fun w bean sprouts and sliced fish - e hor fun very well-fry-ed - 够火候
mapo tofu - not really fantastic cox of the sauce.
almond jelly - not sweet but refreshing. really homemade. Not bad.
Overall, the verdict for this buffet dinner = worthwhile. Compared to eating the same kinda food at Crystal Jade or other medium-priced chinese restaurants, this is alrdy considered cheap and good. Somemore, the food was cooked only after u order them and not just pre-prepared and heated to serve. (You can taste the difference!) Anyway, yah will bring my parents to try this out. *smilez*
Shopped at Daiso after dinner and found this treasure - banana hangers. Soanne told me the purpose for these hangers is tt the dress will not be dragged by its own weight overtime and become loose cox the hanger will distribute the weight of the dress equally, making them last longer. Hmm..I dunno if it's true but let's try it out.. (sorry, forgot rotate the photo :P )
