IT'S A BOY!!

Had another worrisome week..that is till we went for our monthly gynae visit..

Sat went shopping with dg, his mum n sis at bugis (went kuanyin temple cox sun was kuanyin dan)...ard evening time, went toilet and realised I've been bleeding..dark brownish discharge..was scared out of my life..everything was swimming around me..had to force myself to calm down n walked back to hubby...by then my face was alrdy pale like sheet..told dg n immed we collected car and sped to KK..

p/s: the content below might not be comfy for some guys out there..

Queued for nearly 2 hrs before seeing the docat the 24 hr o&b clinic...let me tell you..what happened following further affirms my decision of "NO KK"!! the female gynae who attended to me (well, let's put it this way..she is young~ not that I have anything against young docs)..she did a physical external examination of my vaginal after asking a few simple questions..as all ladies out there who have done pap smears before know, usually docs will put some lubricant on the apparatus before inserting it in..SHE DID NOT!!! so can u imagine the pain i was in?!?!?! I didn't feel a single thing when I did my pap smear 9 months ago!!!

Anyway after some probing around (which I can tell u is extremely uncomfortable as I din know wat she is looking for, did not explain to me, only kept asking me to bear n relax!) and after hanging the apparatus inside my private part while waiting for the senior doc next door to come over (tts roughly ard 5 whole min!!), both of them came to the conclusion I have a polyp. Was explained that a polyp is 99% non-cancerous, which could also be y I was bleeding..anyway was given 3 days' MC to bedrest and consult my gynae whether to have the polyp removed.

Came home, did some yahoo research n realised polyp is non threatening to bb and is generally due to the increased level of estrogen which is quite common in pregnant women. Nevertheless, I was still put in a worried state for 4 whole days before my due consultation today.

Told my gynae abt the polyp found by KK doc...told me to relax and assure me will have a gentle examination done in awhile..before tt he went through my blood test result with us...everything is good..bb's down syndrome is the lowest we can have...immune against rubella..etc..

Going on to the scan...confirmed uterus no polyp..baby in good growing condition, growing healthily on schedule, placenta in the right position (not too low) and it's a BOY!!! yippy~ *happy like a fish*

And finally comes the physical examination..inserted the same apparatus inside..but this time w lubricant!!! It went in smoothly wo causing any pain..and (suspect the lubricant is blocking a clear view of the pelvic so my gynae had to do some cleaning up before examining)..the thing is all this while I din feel any pain or uncomfortable feeling!! he explained to me what he was doing which calmed me down pretty much..and conclusion! I do NOT have polyp...nothing to be removed at all!!!! Bleeding occurs cox of the abrasion of skin inside (he quoted a scientific term which i cant recall)!!!! I swore I could have strangled the doctors in KK for causing me 4 days of unrest!!!! In fact I felt abit so angry that I very nearly wanted to write a complaint letter...but din wan anger to get the better of me so decided to leave it behind...but NO MORE KK!!! cheap it might be...but thanks but NO THANKS!!!

Anyway I'm pretty much a contented mummy now...it's a BOY!!! yay~~~ (thou I would have loved a girl as well..as long as he/she is healthy)..

Guessed what im gg to busy myself with??? Shopping Time!!!
